Tekvox has debuted its 1201-MV universal switcher for BYOD video conferencing, eliminating the need for a conventional in-room PC to drive a conference’s technical components.
The 1201-MV features a two-way USB hub at the far end, allowing any connected laptop to host meetings from a conference room using the installed in-room technology.
A six-play HDBase-T is used to transport 4K video, digital audio, PoC, RS232, LAN and USB over one cable, including a native USB-C input with up to 60W of power charging for a tablet or laptop.
12 multiview modes are available for viewing up to four sources at once without additional hardware, with auto-switching also included for collaboration and conferencing as well as a breakaway HDMI output.
The introduction of the 1201-MV demonstrates TEKVOX’s continued commitment to increase product functionality and reduce the amount of hardware required for successful video conferencing.
