Extron enhances Lubbock County medical examiner’s office
An Extron system has been deployed at the Lubbock County medical examiner’s office in Texas to enable real-time communication between autopsy suites, observation areas, and training spaces.

The system was designed by DataCom Design Group and installed by Moyers Group, delivering a system that supports clinical workflows, forensic accuracy, and training requirements across the 30,000 sq. ft. facility.

Two independent AV systems, each centred on an Extron DTP CrossPoint matrix switcher, providing reliable routing of video and audio between spaces while allowing separate operation and controlled interconnection for live demonstrations and collaborations. Put together, this system enables staff to view procedures in real time, communicate across rooms, and record sessions for later review.

Extron DTP HDMI transmitters and receivers for signal extension, along with SMP 352 dual channel recorders to capture live procedures for documentation and training, A dedicated AV system is deployed in the training room conference room, integrating an Extron ShareLink Pro system for wired and wireless content sharing, combined with a Cisco Webex codec for real-time communication with the autopsy suite.

Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels and an IPCP Pro 255Q xi control processor provides system control, enabling staff to manage routing, camera feeds, audio, and recording.
