Crestron has announced that it is shipping its HD scaling auto-switcher and extender pair (HD-MD-400-C-E) for basic meeting rooms.
Part of Crestron’s DigitiaMedia family, the HD-MD-400-C-E can be managed on the network using Crestron’s AV Framework Hub, with no control system or programming required. The hub facilitates communication between Crestron Fusion Cloud enterprise management service and up to 15 rooms.
The 4X1 auto-switcher and extender pair offer signal extension up to 70m (230ft), a built-in scaler to provide an image display of a range of digital and analog signals, automatic switching for HD resolutions up to 2K, display control, and Ethernet connectivity.
The transmitter features HDMI, VGA, and analog audio inputs and can be mounted under a table or inside a podium. The receiver has an additional HDMI input for connection to a Crestron AirMedia presentation gateway (for BYOD presentation capability) and can be mounted behind the room display or above a projector.
For setup and configuration, operators connect the LAN port on the receiver to the Ethernet network via a web browser.
