Crestron reveals expanded education programme
Crestron has expanded its education programme for 2017 with three additional courses including ‘Crestron Technical Institute – Technician’ and ‘CTI – Avia System Design’.

‘Crestron Technical Institute – Technician’ consists of a series of online primer videos followed by a one-day classroom course. It is designed to provide knowledge of how to perform set-up and configuration functions necessary to install and maintain a Crestron system.

‘CTI – Avia System Design’ is a one-day course, aimed at professional audio engineers and Crestron programmers. It focuses on Crestron’s Avia audio products, which include Avia DSPs and software tools, multichannel and modular utility amplifiers and speakers.

Crestron also released a two-day course focusing on the residential market called ‘Crestron Studio for Residential Lifestyle’. It is aimed at new and existing Crestron integrators aiming to develop their skills in programming or configuring systems.

The manufacturer is also continuing to update courses for existing Crestron Certified Programmers. A three-day classroom course, ‘SIMPL# and SIMPL#Pro Certification’ builds on existing certification, to focus on the extra level of control provided by Crestron’s 3-Series processor. Crestron builds control processors on the Microsoft .NET framework and its control system programs can be developed in the C# programming language. Crestron says attendees that successfully complete the course will be able to create and troubleshoot programming for Simpl# and Simpl#Pro and learn how to create modules.

Crestron is also applying regular updates to its Training Institute courses that will now include the company’s streaming products from the NVX range.

The Fusion classroom-based training course has also been updated new product features and advances, while an online course offers training for Crestron Fusion end users who use Crestron Fusion on a daily basis to monitor/manage rooms and devices. It familiarises learners on using the Crestron Fusion website to complete daily tasks and to run reports.

Finally, Crestron’s Masters will return to Europe in 2017 when it is staged at the Marriott Hotel, Amsterdam May 9 to 11.  The event is invitation-only and offers exclusive training on Crestron software and hardware for commercial and residential applications.
