An updated ISO recording feature supports four independent ISO recordings from any of the inputs or the program feed. This user-requested addition adds greater flexibility for live productions and presentations while providing valuable source material for use in post-production.
In line with Magewell's “any source, anywhere” mantra, Director Plus features industry-leading AV and IP input flexibility including four HDMI inputs, two USB inputs, up to ten live IP sources (including SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX3), HTML web pages, file-based media assets and mobile cameras. Director Plus can simultaneously combine up to six 4K/60 sources (two HDMI, one USB, and three IP) or up to 16 1080p60 HD sources(four HDMI, two USB, and ten IP). For output, Director Plus offers two HDMI and one USB-C interface, as well as supporting NDI HX3 and streaming formats.
With enhanced network connectivity including the ability to aggregate 5G cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi and 2.5GpbsEthernet, Director Plus can receive and transmit multiple network streams while ensuring high-quality live streaming performance even in challenging or low-bandwidth environments.
The exceptional ease-of-use of Director Plus makes it ideal for small production crews or a solo operator, as they can get up and run very quickly with virtually no learning curve. The built-in touchscreen interface is very intuitive, and Director Plus also flexibly supports additional control options. One of the most powerful features is the Director Utility app, which allows multiple team members to be simultaneously controlling different aspects of the production from their phones – for example, one could be switching between cameras, another doing audio mixing, and yet another handling instant replay. They can also use the app to turn the phone’s camera into a live source for Director Plus,allowing team members to capture additional angles such as crowd shots.

Productions can be streamed to popular platforms such as YouTube™ Live, Facebook™ Live, and custom destinations, with support for simultaneous streaming to up to four platforms. Content can also be recorded to local storage, SD card, or USB SSD. Four-channel independent ISO recording gives users full flexibility in post-production for replays, editing, and content repurposing.
