Sony showcases 4K products at ISE 2015

Sony will showcase laser and 4K technologies as part of its "Beyond Definition" theme at ISE 2015 in Amsterdam.

The display company will show AV, communications, and professional display offerings, including its VPL-GTZ1 4K Ultra Short Throw laser projector, a 7,000 lumens 3LCD Laser projector and upgrades to its presentation solution,

Vision Presenter. Vision Presenter brings together content - including videos, images and PowerPoint slides - to one screen that can controlled by touch. The upgrade includes new features including previewing and mirroring content; HDCP supported connections: including Blu-Ray, PS4, Miracast, Chromecast, and Apple TV-Airplay; direct IP H.264 video and IP control connection with the newest Sony PTZ camera solution, the SRG-300SE; multiple display variations for more flexible solutions: single screen, 4K screen, dual screen, edge blend and triple screen plus a secondary monitor output for recording/streaming of Vision Presenter content; and expanded file support and content interaction, e.g., zoom, area setting, annotation and comparison viewing manipulation

The Vision Presenter configuration demonstrated at ISE will show a triple screen projection solution with WUXGA and WXGA projectors and video content coming from multiple source inputs. The company will also show how it can share the visual experience with remote locations.

Also on stand will be the VPL-FH700L and VPL-FHZ55 3LCD laser projectors that are designed to deliver up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection.

The FHZ700L offers 7,000 lumens of colour brightness, and is suitable for use in large venue commercial spaces within education, corporate, and museum environments.

Both models deliver WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200), instant on/off, tilt-angle-free design, edge blending, wide range vertical/horizontal lens shift, and substantial TCO savings. The VPL-FHZ700L also offers integration flexibility with multiple interfaces and seven optional lenses.

Sony’s VPL-GTZ1 is tipped for use in executive boardrooms, art galleries, museums and simulation applications used for product and shop design, as well as command and control.

It is designed to operate with low fan noise and can be floor-standing or ceiling-mounted for front or rear projection.

Sony will also demonstrate a range of professional monitors. Available in 55”, 65” and 85” screen sizes, the Bravia 4K LED Professional displays all include HTML5 signage capability and control features. It is suitable for corporate environments, meeting rooms and retail applications. Bravia U-Touch adds touchscreen technology to Sony’s Professional displays.

The company will also display products from its integrated AV portfolio range at ISE, including its PCS-XC1 Video Conferencing System.

It is an HD portable device that includes wireless capability, Exmor CMOS sensor, View-DR technology and is capable of resolutions up to 1080p 60fps. PCS-XC1 is suitable for use in huddle rooms, conference rooms and office spaces.

Sony will exhibit on stand 1-H120 at ISE, which will be held February 10 to 12, 2015 at the RAI in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
