Warner Theatre opens the curtain with JBL VTX line arrays
The Warner Theatre specified JBL VTX series line array speakers to bring the theatre into the 21st century, providing incoming productions and touring artists with a reliable sound reinforcement system.

Located in Pennsylvania, USA, Warner Theatre’s production manager, Ryan Patsy, worked with consultant David Bateman and integrator, Dobil Laboratories, to equip the historic theatre with JBL VTX line arrays and subwoofers.

The theatre’s operator, Erie Events, conducted extensive building renovations to improve the facility during the Covid-19 pandemic, installing a main left-right hang consisting of 18 JBL VTX A8 line array speakers, suspended nine per side.

The team also installed four JBL VTX B18 subwoofers deployed on the ground for reinforced bass response throughout the venue.

Additionally, JBL AC25 and AC26 loudspeakers were used to serve as front fills and balcony fill speakers, supported by Crown I-Tech 4x3500 amplifiers to supply the entire system with ample power. Lastly, the Crown plug-In for QSys systems is used to enable the production staff to monitor the status of all amplifiers remotely from front-of-house.
