Harman Professional Solutions has expanded its JBL Professional ceiling speaker line-up with the introduction of the Control 400 Standard Coverage and Premium Coverage Series.
The additions bring 15 new models to market, completing the 21-strong Control 400 family, which now spans three tiers of performance and price.
The new ranges build on the legacy of JBL’s Control 10, 20 and 40 Series, bringing refinements in acoustic performance, installation efficiency, and aesthetics. Integrators now have access to a choice of Standard, Enhanced and Premium Coverage Series models to suit the requirements of a broad range of projects.
The Standard Coverage Series is positioned as a cost-effective option that still delivers high-performance audio. Sitting in the middle, the Enhanced Coverage Series incorporates JBL’s Coplanar Radiation Boundary Integrator (CRBI) technology to deliver a more even frequency response, balancing performance with value. At the top of the range, the Premium Coverage Series features JBL’s proprietary conical Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI), designed to maximise coverage consistency in applications where sound quality and clarity are critical.
All three series share installer-focused features aimed at improving safety, efficiency, and repeatability. These include captive dogear mounting to accommodate a wide range of ceiling thicknesses, terminal covers with top and side cable entry, and transformer-equipped models supporting both 70V/100V distributed audio and low-impedance applications.
Attention has also been given to aesthetics. Each model ships with a paintable, full-face magnetic grille equipped with safety tethers, while black and square grille options are available to blend with modern interiors.
The expanded JBL Control 400 family is positioned to support a variety of installed audio applications, from corporate and education spaces to hospitality venues.
