Cisco has entered the digital whiteboard space with Cisco Spark Board, a competitor to Microsoft Surface Hub and Google Jamboard.
The hardware will be coupled with Cisco Spark Meetings, which harnesses WebEx capabilities for a collaboration system.
The interactive Spark Board incorporates wireless content sharing using ultrasound wireless paring technology. Remote and local participants can simultaneously whiteboard and content is automatically saved. Concurrent videoconferencing is also supported.
Cisco is touting the on-board audio as “theatre-quality”. It uses a microphone array and VoiceTrack technology for videoconferencing.
Spark apps allows collaboration without the Cisco Spark Board and handles scheduling and agendas.
A 55-in version will be available at the end of the month and a 70-in board is expected later this year.
