Atlona has announced the immediate availability of the AT-HDVS-SC-RX HDBaseT receiver and scaler, featuring the company’s CrystalScale Technology (ACT) for 4K/UHD scaling and picture optimisation.
Combining up- and down-scaling, HDBaseT signal reception and features such as automatic display control, the HDVS-SC-RX is suitable for standalone displays in classrooms, huddle rooms and other meeting spaces or as a key component of larger-scale distribution and presentation systems.
The HDVS-SC-RX supports a local HDMI source as well as an HDBaseT input for receiving video, audio, control and Ethernet over category cable, with automatic input selection enabling the receiver/scaler to switch without manual intervention when a new source is detected.
Other features include audio de-embedding; TCP/IP and RS-232 scaler and display control; contact closure ports for controlling a motorised screen or display lift; and the ability to power remote transmitters through Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Image optimisation features in the HDVS-SC-RX including gamma and uniformity correction allow users to fine-tune or enhance video for the specific destination device and compensate for perceptual color issues on certain LED or LCD displays. Additional processing functions adding value to the HDVS-SC-RX include motion-adaptive video de-interlacing, 3:2 pull-down, aspect ratio control, and internal test pattern generation.
