The 2025 Inavation Awards Business winners were announced in February, but now, for the first time, we’re revealing the insights behind the decisions.
The judging panel scrutinised entries for Company of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, and The Sustainable Business Award, assessing innovation, impact, and long-term vision. Here’s what set this year’s winners apart and why they earned top honours.
COMPANY OF THE YEAR: TD Synnex Maverick
Judges noted TD Synnex Maverick’s ability to combine market leadership with innovation and partner support. Its full AV ecosystem across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google stood out, alongside its achievement of 1.3 million Teams-certified devices and a 96% share of ChromeOS licenses in Europe.
Maverick’s investment in 22 technology demonstration centres was praised for providing hands-on experiences and strengthening industry relationships. Judges also highlighted its commitment to SMBs, sustainability, and diversity, with measurable initiatives and DEI programs.
By demonstrating commercial success while prioritising accessibility and social responsibility, Maverick proved itself a transformative force in AV distribution, making it a clear and deserving winner of Company of the Year.

MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR: Absen
Judges recognised Absen’s leadership in LED innovation and its impact on the AV industry. With over 60,000 projects across 140 countries, the company continues to push boundaries in virtual production, e-gaming, and record-breaking installations. Notably, its Saudi Pavilion project set a Guinness World Record, highlighting its ability to deliver large-scale, cutting-edge solutions.
Absen’s investment in R&D, including a new facility in Dongjiang, was praised for driving MicroLED advancements and sustainability. Judges also noted its expansion in Europe, its first UK showroom, and a commitment to strong partner relationships.
With a clear strategy for future growth, sustainability initiatives, and continued technological advancements, Absen proved itself a pioneering force in LED manufacturing, securing this well-deserved win.

SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS AWARD: First Impression audiovisual
Judges praised First Impression for its proactive approach to sustainability, embedding environmental responsibility across its business operations. Its smart deployment and smart service strategies stood out, significantly reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions while ensuring long-term efficiency for clients.
The company’s impact was particularly evident in its work with Basic-Fit, where sustainable upgrades delivered up to 69% energy savings and extended product lifespans. Judges also commended First Impression’s commitment to industry-wide change, pushing for transparency in supply chains and setting new standards in digital signage sustainability.
With its B Corp certification and a mission-driven culture prioritising environmental and social impact, First Impression proved itself a trailblazer in sustainable AV integration, making it a worthy winner.
