An INFiLED curved WP series LED screen has been installed at the Ciel Dubai Marina, the tallest hotel in the world.
The Ciel Dubai Marina stands 377 metres above the Dubai waterfront as the tallest hotel in the world, housing 857 rooms and 147 suites. A hotel of this magnitude required a lobby experience that would truly set the hotel apart from the pack.
Serving as the first point of contact for every arriving guest, INFiLED LED screens were installed in the lobby, purpose-built to create a sense of impact from the first moment.
The installation was delivered by Huda Lighting, working in close collaboration with the Ciel hotel team from the design phase onwards. Huda Lighting took responsibility for delivering an interactive LED feature that integrated with the curved architecture of the lobby wall.
The INFiLED installation combines panels from the flat WP series and curved WP Wrap series, providing a 120-degree arc that follow the natural contour of the lobby wall. This setup creates a unified LED screen surface measuring 3.6 x 6.75 m, operating at a 1.25mm pixel pitch and 800 nits of brightness needed for the conditions of a premium hotel lobby.
In its default state, the LED screen responds to guests as they cross the lobby, while remaining ready for event use. The display had previously been reconfigured to support a brand activation visit by actor Jason Momoa, who used the hotel to promote his Meili Vodka brand.
Kahled Alami, managing director, Huda Lighting, commented: “The objective was to create a distinctive user experience from the moment visitors enter the lobby, with a design that integrates seamlessly with the wall’s curvature.
“The content follows a movement-based theme, dynamically responding as people approach, and it also supports touch interaction for an engaging, immersive experience. It’s a complex installation due to the constraints of the space, and it combines both flat and concave modules,” says Alami. “We’re proud of the final result and delighted to see hotel guests enjoying this large-scale interactive LED screen.”
