Extron empowers high school esports arena
Extron AV is empowering the Western High School’s esports arena, the largest in Kentucky, USA.

The esports arena spans almost 400 square metres, featuring a competitive gaming area, Shoutcast station, studio production room, and instructional spaces that host classes in video game design and computer science.

Extron AV signal switching, distribution, and control technology to create an experience for players, coaches, and spectators.

The arena’s XTP II CrossPoint 6400 modular matrix switcher is used to distribute 4K/60 video and audio routing between gaming stations and displays, while a TLP Pro 1025T touchpanel provides centralised control of the AV system for coaches and teachers to route content to various displays, as well as to adjust lighting and audio levels.

Greg Fehr, project manager, Western High School, commented: “Extron’s on-site support was outstanding. Their expertise and commitment helped get our space up and running quickly and effectively.”
