Digital Projection dazzles at Sharjah Light Festival
Almost 60 Digital Projection laser projectors were used to bring powerful visuals at the Sharjah Light Festival in the UAE.

The 12-day Sharjah Light Festival celebrated its 13th year, working with video-mapping specialist Artabestk to deliver a Digital Projection solution that included a 300mx50m projection on the side of a mountain, with an experience designed for more than 500,000 visitors.

This marked the first time that visual content had been mapped onto a mountain of its size, presenting challenges related to brightness, due to brownish stone colour of the mountain, and the multiple shadows that the mountain surface creates.

Arbasesk used Titan Laser 37000 WU projectors to overcome these obstacles, capable of projecting up to 40m from each projector. All 16 Titan Laser 37000 WU projecters were concentrated on one point of the mountain, resulting in a clear image when viewed from the audience viewing area.

The four festival sites used a mix of Titan Laser 37000 WU and M-Vision 23000 WU projectors, installed for the 190,000m2 Sharjah Mosque, using 21 Titan Laser 37000 WU to create a 400m2 linear projection, which is divided into eight areas across the entire surface of the mosque.
