ISE outlined further details of its planned hybrid event after opening registration for the June 2021 show.
With a physical event scheduled for June 1 to 4 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, ISE laid out plans to merge live content from the venue, with an online programme.
In 2021 ISE intends to feature nine technology zones: audio, digital signage and DooH, education technology, residential, smart building, unified communications, VR/AR/XR, broadcast and content creation and live events.
ISE also hopes to improve the ability of audio companies to demo their products with a suite of high-quality demo rooms, set in the Filmax Cinema complex, 200 metres from the Fira.
Elsewhere, the exhibition organiser wants to engage local companies with The Catalonia Pavilion featuring 30 local AV and service companies.
In another nod to its new host country, ISE has announced the AV Experience Zone, a three-day initiative produced in association with AVIXA with Spanish language presentations and show flour tours for Spanish integrators and end-users.
Of course, much of that will only happen if the show goes ahead. We’ll know more on March 1 when Mike Blackman, managing director of Integrated System Events, has pledged to make a definitive call on staging ISE 2021 in Barcelona.
