Meyer Sound brings gospel to the masses

‘The Experience’, a gospel music concert in Lagos, provided sound reinforcement for its 450,000 strong crowd with Meyer Sound system. GQ Acoustics provided Milo line array loudspeakers, 700-HP subwoofers and JM-1P arrayable loudspeakers for what is claimed to be the largest music event in Africa.


Councillors make themselves heard

When Stockholm City Hall started to receive complaints about its induction loop system it turned to Ampetronic for a replacement. Stockholm based audio specialist, Sennberg AB completely removed the existing induction loops and installed a new Ampetronic low-loss system.

Resort implements fibre network

IVC Media has been contracted to design and build a centralised AV, IT resort security and access control management fibre infrastructure for a resort on the islands off the coast of West Africa. The network at the Tortuga Beach Resort and Spa will provide fast internet access, multi-channel high definition TV capabilities, video on demand, telephony, fire detection, door entry systems and CCTV.

Teracue heads to Winter Olympics

The Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver is using IPTV encoders and decoders from Teracue. The ENC-200 H.264 encoder and the DEC-200 H.264 decoder were supplied to Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk.

Crestron’s Olympic distribution

The 2010 Winter Olympics is using Crestron DigitalMedia to record, distribute and display games and events across several stadiums and arenas in full digital HD. All feeds are routed through the Master Command Centre that is equipped with 37 displays.

QSC in church refurb

A Roman Catholic Church built in 1844 has undergone a £3.5-£4 million (€4-€4.6 million) redevelopment that included a new QSC sound system. A pair of white polystyrene QSC AcousticDesign AD-S282H 2-way loudspeakers were yoke-mounted vertically onto the walls either side of the altar.
