3M introduces multi-touch systems
3M will debut its latest multi-touch systems based on proprietary ultrathin metal mesh technology at ISE 2016.
“3M’s next generation PCAP systems can be customised for 2K or 4K applications across a range of sizes, including non-planar (curved) screens.” commented Paolo Pedrazzoli, 3M Touch Systems marketing operations manager at 3M EMEA.
Features include the ability to project through glass up to 5mm thick, a bezel-free design so the image is consistent to the edge of the display, and support for up to 80 simultaneous touch points for multi-user interaction. 3M’s palm rejection technology can also be tuned to meet specific interface requirements.
Users can create their own multi-touch platform, compatible with Windows, Linux, OSX and Android operating platforms.
3M will exhibit at ISE in Amsterdam from February 9 to 12, 2016 in hall 8, stand N350.
