Shure has launched its MVX2U Gen 2 digital audio interface, a single-channel system designed to make professional recording easier for podcaster, creators, and streamers, using XLR microphones.
Building on the original MVX2U, the Gen 2 model brings advanced, onboard digital audio processing, controllable through the MOTIV desktop and mobile apps across iOS, Android, and desktop devices.
The interface includes USB-C cable delivers power and audio, transforming dynamic and condenser XLR microphones into devices suitable for podcasting or livestreaming, providing up to more than 60dB of gain and 48V phantom power without external preamps.
New and improved sound processing features include an auto-level mode that automatically sets gain for consistent recording, as well as a real-time denoiser that reduces background noise in any environment, and a digital popper stopper designed to minimise plosive sounds.
The MVX2U Gen 2 also automatically stores the last-used audio processing settings, preserving a creator’s preferred sound profile when switching between devices.
