PlexusAV will unveil its new P-AVN-6-S transceiver at InfoComm 2026, expanding its AV-over-IP portfolio with an uncompressed IPMX and SMPTE ST 2110 solution for hybrid broadcast and ProAV workflows.
The new unit is designed to bridge traditional SDI infrastructure and IP-based AV systems, with native 12G-SDI input and output, HDMI loop out and support for open-standard network environments.
PlexusAV is positioning the P-AVN-6-S for applications where signal integrity, timing precision, low latency and interoperability are critical, including broadcast studios, live production, stadiums, houses of worship, enterprise broadcast facilities, government command centres, higher education and hybrid SDI/IP control rooms.
The transceiver supports uncompressed quality over IPMX and SMPTE ST 2110-compliant networks up to 4K60, with approximately 18Gbps throughput. It also includes PTP-to-Genlock capability, allowing SDI outputs to synchronise directly to IP-based timing with ±12 pixel phase accuracy.
The platform supports ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy across independent primary and secondary network paths, while compatibility with 1GbE, 10GbE and 25GbE networks is intended to support integration between baseband systems and open-standard IP distribution.
Additional features include dual SFP28 interfaces, JPEG-XS support over 1GbE infrastructure, Dante and AES67 audio transport with up to eight audio channels, an open REST API, web UI, front-panel LCD configuration and integration with PlexusAV Visual Array for centralised management.
Steven Cogels, director of business development at PlexusAV, said the product was developed for customers working in environments “where broadcast and Pro AV technologies increasingly overlap”.
At InfoComm, the P-AVN-6-S will be shown as part of PlexusAV’s wider open-standard AV-over-IP ecosystem, covering compressed and uncompressed workflows, hybrid SDI/IP infrastructure, audio transport and enterprise AV integration.
PlexusAV will also participate in interoperability demonstrations with the AIMS Alliance on the IP Showcase booth.
