Planar launches Cobra Series LED platform with pixel-level redundancy
Planar has launched the Cobra Series, a new family of fine pixel pitch LED video walls powered by its proprietary EverPixel and TruMicro LED technologies.

The new series is available in Europe through Leyard Europe and is being shown at InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas.

Available in 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm and 1.2mm pixel pitches, the Planar Cobra Series is designed for premium indoor applications requiring high display uniformity, off-axis image quality and colour consistency.

At the centre of the platform is Planar’s EverPixel architecture, which incorporates pixel-level redundancy into the display to support image quality and continuous operation. Planar describes Cobra as the industry’s first ultra-fine pitch LED display platform with pixel-level redundancy.

The series also uses TruMicro technology, which uses LEDs as small as 20 micrometres to support MicroLED performance and ultra-fine pixel pitches.

Sidney Rittenberg, chief executive officer at Planar, said: “By combining EverPixel and TruMicro technologies, we’ve created the industry’s first ultra-fine pitch LED display platform that gives customers greater confidence in the image they see today and over the life of the display.”

The Cobra Series includes a protective display surface designed to guard against casual contact, while its energy-efficient design is intended to reduce power consumption. Planar said this makes the range suitable for public spaces, collaboration environments and interactive touch applications.

The platform is supported by Planar’s WallDirector family of solutions for video wall control, content management and display monitoring. This includes the WallDirector Video Controller for source capture and content windowing, and WallDirector Cloud for remote management.

The Planar Cobra Series is available to order through Planar’s global authorised reseller network and in Europe through Leyard Europe.
