MuxLab has launched its HDMI/RS232 Extender Kit that allows HDMI equipment to be connected up to 230 ft (70 m).
It can achieve this at all resolutions up to 1080p via one Cat 5e/6 unshielded twisted pair cable in a point-to-point configuration.
The Extender provides an easy to use solution for various applications such as digital signage, industrial and commercial AV systems, classroom projector systems, boardroom systems and medical information systems.
The 500454 also has the ability to support 3D of HDMI 1.4 and bi-directional IR remote source control. The Kit includes an IR Emitter (MuxLab model 500998) and IR Sensor (MuxLab model 500999).
