A Swedish theme park has installed a discreet audio and control system for a new stage show. Timing of sound, light, pyrotechnic and mechanical effects were carefully managed to deliver a smooth performance.
Last year the Astrid Lindgrens Värld Theme Park in Vimmerby, Sweden recently overhauled special effects and audio equipment for a new stage show that details the adventures of Swedish fairytale heroine, Ronja Rövardotter (Ronja the robber’s daughter).
Staged in an outdoor amphitheatre, the one-hour play uses a stage set designed around an authentic exterior of a medieval castle. It begins with Ronja born on a stormy night during thunder and lighting that smashes the caste in half.
Luthman TTS, a Swedish distributor, supplied the audio and control system, which comprises a Shure UHF-R wireless microphone system with Wireless Workbench supervision software and a Renkus-Heinz Iconyx IC-Live system.
Distribution, remote system management and control can be handled remotely via Ethernet using the RHAON network.
The Ovation Media Server and Sequencer from Merging Technologies was employed to ensure each step of the play was perfectly timed to keep up with on and off-stage activities.
