Loxit demos Magic Carpet projection system

Loxit will demonstrate Magic Carpet, an app-based interactive projection system, at Bett 2017 in the UK.

The system uses a motion capture camera to track users as they move over the projected apps. This movement data informs the software of the speed, direction and location of the movement. The software then converts this data into AV feedback.

It is supplied as a fully integrated system and is available in two form factors: a height adjustable portable system providing variable sized projection image and a fixed ceiling installation.

Magic Carpet has 500 apps arranged into 25 categories, 35 customisable app templates and 5,000 media assets. Users can creations via the online app store, where new activities can also be acquired.

The system supports multiple access methods, including gesture, eye gaze, mouse and touch. Other features include an App Builder, the ability to control from iOS and Android apps, remote system shutdown and Tobii Dynavox Eye Gaze compatibility.

The Bett Show, an education technology event, runs January 25 – 28 at London’s ExCeL.
