PMA Research announces new European 1LCD projector report
PMA Research (PMA) has announced the availability of a new report on the European single-panel LCD projector market.

This report is a strategic market study of the European and UK single-panel LCD projector category, commonly referred to as 1LCD.

It examines a large, fast-moving consumer projection segment that is often overlooked or misread because it sits outside the traditional professional AV channel. The report covers market size and growth, sell-in versus sell-through dynamics, competitive structure, Chinese ODM and component supply chains, buyer behavior, distribution channels, technology evolution, adjacent-category pressure from budget televisions and entry-level DLP, and the role 1LCD may play as an onboarding path into higher-value projection products.

The report gives projector companies a clearer view of a segment that is large enough to affect customer expectations, online pricing, product positioning, and future upgrade demand, but fragmented enough that it is difficult to understand through conventional market reporting alone. It helps answer a practical question: should this market be entered, avoided, monitored, partnered with, or treated as a feeder market for higher-value projector categories.

“The projector market is changing in ways that aren’t always visible through traditional industry channels,” said Lee Dodson, COO of PMA Research. “1LCD is a good example. It has become a meaningful consumer category with the potential to influence pricing, product expectations and where future projector customers come from. Whether established brands ultimately compete in this segment or not, they need to understand it. That is the gap this report is designed to inform.”
