Cambridge Sound Management unveils Qt Active Emitter

Cambridge Sound Management has introduced its Qt Active Emitter, an all-in-one sound masking, office paging, and background music system using direct-field technology.

Unveiled at InfoComm 2016, the powered sound masking loudspeaker allows users to achieve a lower frequency range and a higher SPL to provide sound masking, paging, and background music, without a redundant paging and music system.

The system is downward facing for uniform sound masking, with frequency range able to be customised by operators.

“We developed a custom power supply and power injector to bring more power to the emitter, while allowing us to leverage existing QtPro control modules, cables, and most mounting accessories,” said Mitch Nollman, VP of sales.

The Qt Active Emitter works with both Qt 300 and Qt 600 control modules, with its updated firmware providing control and web-based management from a device.

It will be released in September 2016.
