Barco reveals I65 projection platform as I-series expands
Barco has launched the I65, a new 4K UHD projection platform designed to bring I-series performance to more budget-conscious applications.

The I65 joins Barco’s I-series portfolio as a complementary model to the I600. While the I600 remains positioned for multi-channel applications, higher refresh rates, premium colour performance and Barco SuperShift resolution, the I65 is aimed at users looking for a more accessible projection option while retaining reliability and image quality.

The projector supports Barco’s ILD lens compatibility, allowing users to work with the company’s interchangeable lens range across ultra-short throw to long-throw applications.

Barco has also introduced a 0.35 snorkel ultra-short throw lens, extending the platform’s use in space-constrained environments. The shared lens architecture is intended to help users standardise across multiple setups and simplify logistics.

The I65 has been designed with field deployment in mind, using a compact and lightweight form factor to support transport and installation with smaller teams. Barco Pulse Lite software provides setup and control, while Barco Auto-alignment is designed to help achieve accurate image positioning with less manual adjustment.

The projector is aimed at museums, houses of worship, education, corporate meeting rooms and rental workflows, where users need flexible projection with lower operational complexity.

The I65 is also the first projector in Barco’s portfolio to include an integrated Intel Smart Display Module, supporting expanded functionality and future workflows, including the potential use of IPMX in projection environments.

Frederik Bouckaert, product management lead projection at Barco, said: “By combining accessible 4K UHD performance, flexible optics, and simplified operation, this new projector brings together the essentials of modern projection in one compact platform.”

The I65 will make its first appearance at InfoComm 2026 on Barco booth N7231.
