Whitwam AVI strengthens workplace AV focus with upgraded demo space
Whitwam AVI has upgraded the meeting room at its Winchester, UK headquarters, creating a live demonstration space for modern workplace AV systems.

The room is designed to show clients how corporate meeting environments can support hybrid meetings, bring-your-own-device workflows and straightforward day-to-day operation. Whitwam AVI will use the space for internal meetings, client demonstrations and partner discussions.

At the centre of the system is a Panasonic laser projector, with a Lightware Taurus UCX-4x2 switcher providing source selection and signal management. A Barco ClickShare CX-30 supports wireless presentation, while a Sennheiser TeamConnect Bar M provides audio and video for conferencing.

The company also plans to add a Joan 6 Pro Gray room booking panel outside the space to demonstrate meeting room management alongside the AV setup.

Ray Clarke, operations and engineering manager at Whitwam AVI, said the room was created to reflect the priorities the company discusses with clients every day, including simple operation and reliable hybrid meeting support.

The system is configured to support both wired and wireless workflows. The ClickShare CX-30 acts as the default source, displaying a branded splash screen with connection details when idle. Users can present wirelessly through the ClickShare app by entering an on-screen PIN, while HDMI connections are automatically prioritised by the Lightware switcher when plugged in.

The Sennheiser TeamConnect Bar M is connected via USB to the Lightware switcher, allowing it to be shared between ClickShare and wired table connections. The Lightware output feeds the Panasonic projector.

Clarke said the upgraded room allows clients to test workflows with their own devices and understand how similar systems could be adapted for their meeting spaces.

The project reflects Whitwam AVI’s growing focus on workplace AV, giving the company a functioning showroom environment where corporate collaboration technologies can be demonstrated in real use.
