Wake The Tiger has officially taken possession of an 80,000 sq ft anchor space at Westfield London, marking the transition into full build phase for what will become Europe’s largest immersive art experience when it opens in late 2026.
The Westfield London site will become the centre’s largest leisure operator. Supported by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), Wake The Tiger begins a complete ground-up transformation of the former retail shell into a permanent, large-scale immersive environment engineered for longevity, throughput and repeat visitation.
Over 50 creatives and technical specialists nationwide have already contributed to the design and planning process, with hundreds expected to work across the full build. The project blends large-scale scenography, technical systems integration and narrative world-building, designed not as a temporary installation but as a permanent, operationally robust attraction.
Luke Mitchell, co-founder and chief creative officer, describes the move as “the biggest investment we’ve ever taken on,” reflecting the company’s ambition to scale immersive IP responsibly while maintaining creative integrity.
