‘Tallest drone show’ dominates skies in record breaking spectacle
Apple TV broke a world record for the tallest drone show yet recorded, as 3,000 drones took to the skies of Los Angeles, 152 metres above onlookers.

The record breaking drone show celebrates the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, creating a 3D display of legendary monsters Godzilla, King Kong, and the newly introduced Titan X. The display broke the Guinness World Record for the tallest aerial display of a fictional character formed by drones.

The spectacle was visible from almost 5 kilometres away, with a 12-minute production that places the monsters among the Hollywood landscape at scale. The show integrated pyrotechnic drones, known as pyrodrones both in the air and on the ground, acting as visual effects for standout moments such as Godzilla’s atomic breath lighting up the Los Angeles sky.
