Aura has announced its acquisition of Reflex, the AV integrator. The addition of Reflex to the Aura portfolio represents the next stage of growth for the workspace technology company, which was formed in March 2020 through the merger of Karlson and Intevi, with the backing of global private equity firm Baird Capital.
Established in 1983, Reading-based Reflex has become one of the biggest names in the UK industry.
“I’m delighted to welcome the Reflex team into our organisation,” said Alpesh Unalkat, Aura’s CEO (pictured above). “Their specialist expertise and excellent reputation across the higher education, public sector and corporate markets further strengthens Aura’s integrated offering and capabilities, and lays the groundwork for our future growth. It’s an exciting time for the business. The pandemic has accelerated interest in hybrid working, and across all sectors there’s an increasing emphasis on strategies that connect physical and digital workspaces for better productivity, collaboration and economy – and, ultimately, profitability.”
“We’ve had numerous approaches over the years, but Aura is the first business that felt like a natural fit, and that would enable our team to keep doing what they do best – providing an exemplary end-to-end AV integration service,” said William Jepps, MD at Reflex. “Aura’s strong values and culture, not to mention their staff satisfaction survey results and focus on professional development, were strong deciding factors. I’m looking forward to this next chapter for our business, as it promises to be a very positive time of growth for us all.”
