Spor Group has acquired UK interior design consultancy Squaredot in a move that expands the workplace technology specialist’s capabilities across workplace design, audiovisual environments and technology strategy.
Maidenhead, UK-based Spor Group said the acquisition brings together complementary expertise across workplace technology and evidence-led interior design, while broadening the range of services it can offer customers across the UK and Europe.
Squaredot will continue to operate from its existing base in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK with managing director Kris Krokosz [pictured above, left] remaining in post alongside business consultant David Kramer.
The consultancy has been operating for more than 25 years and has delivered more than 983 projects. Its client base includes CBRE, SCC, Bristol & Bath Science Park, CareCo, Kimberly-Clark, Manchester Airports Group and Savills.
Krokosz said: “The acquisition brings together complementary expertise, experience and relationships, creating a strong platform for continued growth and development. Existing clients will continue to benefit from the knowledge and specialist experience that have been at the heart of the business, alongside the additional resources and opportunities that the acquisition provides.”
As part of the deal, Spor Group co-founder Chris Gore [pictured above, right] will become group strategic director, with a remit to support the development of the combined business and identify opportunities to expand its services.
Spor Group provides workplace technology support across more than 1,500 meeting rooms in the UK and Europe, with customers including the NFL and NHS. Its work spans sectors including insurance and recruitment, with a focus on improving the performance, reliability and user experience of workplace systems.
Gore said the acquisition would allow Spor Group to broaden its offering beyond technology deployment alone.
“Our focus has always been on helping organisations get more from their workplace technology, not simply installing equipment,” he said. “By combining the strengths of Spor Group and Squaredot, we can broaden the expertise and support we provide to customers while creating an even stronger platform for future growth.”
He added that retaining Squaredot’s existing leadership was intended to provide continuity for customers while giving the business access to the wider resources of Spor Group.
