After 17 years at the helm of Kramer Electronics (UK), managing director Nigel Hodgson has announced that he is stepping down. Jonathan Breckon-Rowe has been appointed MD.
"I started Kramer Electronics UK back in 2000, having been the distributor of Kramer products for 13 years prior to that," says Hodgson. "During those 30 years, we have seen massive changes in the industry and Kramer has gone from strength to strength, embracing the change from analogue to digital and developing a line-up of wireless collaboration products with the VIA range. I’ve been fortunate enough to have the backing of a great team at Kramer UK and will miss them and all the customers I have had the pleasure of working with over the last 3 decades.
"Jonathan Breckon-Rowe has worked alongside me for the last 25 years and I can’t think of anyone better than Jonathan to lead the UK and Ireland operation (which is the second largest market in the world for Kramer) into the next stage of development and continue the consistent growth we have experienced for the last 17 years. Jonathan will be fully supported by marketing manager Nick Mawer and Andrew Smith who I have appointed as chief operating officer.
“It’s been a real privilege for me to be MD of Kramer UK for such a long time. I will still be working in the background for a few more months, undertaking various projects for Kramer globally prior to my complete retirement at the end of this year. The last 3 decades have been great fun and I have no doubt that Jonathan, Nick and Andrew will lead Kramer UK to even greater heights going forward. I wish the whole team at Kramer every success in the future and thank them all for the unstinting support they have given me."
