LUMINISCENCE projection mapping coming to London’s Westminster Cathedral
The LUMINISCENCE 360° video mapping show will be showcased at London’s Westminster Cathedral in Summer 2026 following a run at Manchester Cathedral, UK.

The video mapping is accompanied by orchestral arrangements, performed by Lux Aeterna choir and accompanied by the voice of London-born actor Hugh Bonneville.

LUMINESCNE’s run across Europe and the US now continues its UK expansion in the UK capital, telling the story of London through time. With a script commissioned by BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning writer Tim Whitnall, tracing the city’s evolution from its foundations to the modern capital of today.

The London residency will enhance the space by digitally realising the cathedral’s mosaic-adorned domes that were never completed. Insufficient funds during the cathedral’s construction left the ceilings and upper columns bare for over 120 years, with the show bringing the architect’s original vision to life for the very first time.

In the months leading up to the show, a team of technicians mapped and modelled the entire interior in 3D space, creating the foundation for a projection system that brings the experience to life.
