Hive has launched Hive Academy, a training and certification programme for users of its media server platform.
The programme is designed for operators, designers, engineers and integrators working across live events, touring and immersive environments, supporting users from initial setup through to advanced workflows and large-scale deployments.
Hive Academy combines hands-on training with formal certification, giving users a structured pathway to build skills, validate their knowledge and deliver projects using Hive systems.
The launch formalises training that Hive has already delivered through project work and partner sessions, bringing it into an official syllabus with defined modules and a consistent standard.
Nigel Sadler, chief pollinator at Hive, said: “Hive Academy is giving people a structured path to follow, a recognised certification and a clear standard we can measure against. It gives users confidence in their own skills, and it gives customers confidence in the people delivering their projects.”

The programme is built around three core modules covering software fundamentals, advanced features and integration best practice. Together, the modules are intended to take users from understanding the Hive ecosystem to deploying more complex media server workflows.
Training will be delivered in person or remotely, with an always-on Knowledge Base available for guidance and troubleshooting.
Certification will be awarded to participants who complete the programme and demonstrate applied understanding, supporting Hive’s aim to build a global community of certified users, partners and integrators.
Initial training sessions are set to roll out across key regions, with Hive Academy continuing to develop alongside the media server platform.
