LG has announced that it has equipped the first cinema with LG LED cinema display technology with Dolby’s cinema server and Atmos immersive audio with Taiwan theatre chain Showtime Cinemas.
LG initially announced its LED cinema display in May, as reported by Inavate.
The cinema is believed to be the first to have completely replaced projectors with LED technology, incorporating Dolby’s integrated media server (IMS3000) with LG’s new LED cinema display.
Paik Ki-mun, head of the Information Display business unit, LG Electronics Business Solutions said: “We’re confident that the advanced technologies behind LG LED Cinema Display and Dolby solutions will grow our share of the growing LED cinema market.
