Belfast-based AV company Fluid AV has launched Community Connect, a new programme that gives surplus AV technology a second life by refurbishing and donating it to charities and community organisations across Northern Ireland.
The initiative provides businesses with a practical way to put working AV equipment they no longer need to good use. Companies upgrading meeting rooms, workspaces or other facilities can register and donate unneeded equipment with Community Connect, while charities, community groups and grassroots organisations can register their interest in obtaining the refurbished technology.
Fluid AV will then assess and refurbish suitable equipment, match it with an organisation that can benefit from it, and manage the process through to delivery and professional installation.
With offices in Belfast and Edinburgh, Fluid AV has designed Community Connect to create meaningful social and environmental impact in the communities where its teams live and work.
The programme aims to address a common challenge within the technology sector, high-quality equipment can reach the end of its commercial use within one organisation while still having years of useful life remaining. By keeping that technology in use for longer, Fluid AV Community Connect offers businesses an alternative route for surplus AV equipment while giving charities and community organisations access to technology they may otherwise struggle to afford.
