Exertis appoints global diversity and inclusion programme lead
Exertis has appointed Kim Lonas as global diversity and inclusion programme lead, driving the development of the company’s diversity and inclusion strategy.

The appointment follows in the wake of an employment tribunal in which Exertis UK and several employees were found to have harassed and discriminated against a former employee on grounds of race.

Lonas joins Exertis UK after a six year role as HR director with Exertis North America will play a role in encouraging broader cultural and positive change with a focus on how the business serves underrepresented groups.

Lonas has also worked as a contributing member of AVIXA’s diversity council for more than three years, acting as the co-lead for DCC’s inclusion and diversity project workstream and co-chair of the AVIXA Women’s council of western New York.

Lonas will play a key role in actively encouraging broader cultural and positive change with particular focus on how the business serves underrepresented groups and ensuring every voice is heard.

Tim Griffin, managing director, DCC Technology & Exertis Group, commented: “This is a crucial role and will prove to be a catalyst for accelerating our journey towards an even more equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace, where everyone can unleash their full potential. I am delighted to have Kim take on this challenge from North America, reflecting our ever-increasing international business.”
