Datapath uplifts signage experience at Edinburgh Airport
Datapath technology has been central to a major digital signage transformation at Edinburgh Airport, delivering seamless content to some of the most ambitious LED video wall installations in the UK travel sector.

Datapath played a key role in a major digital signage transformation at Edinburgh Airport, UK, delivering content to Scotland’s busiest airport.

Serving more than 150 destinations with 40 airlines, Edinburg Airport required its passenger information, wayfinding and commercial messaging to be optimised, meeting rising demand and improving the customer journey.

The airport invested in a large-scale digital display strategy across its refurbished check-in and departure areas.

The upgrade a 24 metre extension to the existing 85 metre LED videowall, with micro LED displays at the check in area. A floor-to-ceiling curved LED videowall was also installed to guide passenger through the duty free area, while a 2.5 metre display provides flight information and wayfinding.

Datapath VSN videowall processors were used, along with four VisionSC-UHD2 and 10 VisionSC-HD4+ video capture cards. Video sources can be flexibly displayed, with WallControl 10/Pro software used for flexibility, control and ease of use.

Myles Grima, head of airport operations, Edinburgh Airport, commented: "We really wanted to provide a more modern and digital experience for our passengers... Providing that on the video wall means it's really easy to see the video wall and where you need to go as you come to check in at the airport."
