Children's TV network Cartoon Network is to open its first hotel, which will give visitors the ability to use technology to individually customise each one of the 165 rooms.
Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, the Cartoon Network Hotel promises 'immersive experiences around every corner'.
“With just the right mix of technology, design and animation, we’re aiming to bring our characters to life in a way that we haven’t seen done before”, said Christina Miller, President Cartoon Network-Adult Swim- Boomerang.
The property will feature an interchangeable show theme in each room, allowing fans to customise their experience.
This type of application was mentioned as a real possibility in our article on the hospitality sector back in June this year.
“This is going to be a game changer,” said Rolf Paegert, COO of Palace Entertainment. “With sleek contemporary designs that parents will appreciate and Easter egg-type surprises for kids throughout the resort, the entire family will love this place. Cartoon Network’s stories and themes appeal to everyone in a fun whimsical way.”
The property is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
