Modulo Kinetic media servers empowers KSA’s first opera
Riyadh played host to Zarqa Al Yamama, the first grand opera in Arabic, enabled by a video-projection system powered by Modulo Pi’s Modulo Kinetic media server.

The video-projection system with mobile screens was deployed by VLS Middle East, with screens installed at a height of 25 m. Three panoramic screens were at the core of the system, with two landscape screens and one portrait screen.

Each screen was lit by two Epson EB-PU2220B video projectors. Used in rear projection, the projectors were installed on automated poles that moved simultaneously with the screens.

The video projection is powered by Modulo Kinetic’s media server system, delivering a resolution of 3840 x 1200 on each of the horizontal screens, and 1200 x 3840 for the vertical screen.

Modulo Kinetic’s UI designer was also used to create a control interface to make rehearsals easier, launching videos made for the opera autonomously.
