Yamaha launches multiple products at Prolight + Sound

Yamaha debuted its latest speaker, mixing and rack offerings at last week’s Prolight + Sound 2016.

Its PX series of power amplifiers feature Yamaha DSP technology, and are suited to both live and install environments.

The Tio1608-D rackmount i/o units and NY64-D Dante i/o expansion card were introduced, alongside the RPio222 I/O rack (a compact version of the RPio222 I/O) for the RIVAGE PM10 mixing system – shipping in summer 2016.

The front panel of rack features two RY slots for analogue input, analogue output, or digital I/O cards, as well as two Mini-YGDAI slots compatible with over 30 expansion cards. Two rear-panel HY slots allow installation of I/O cards that support TWINLANe, the RIVAGE PM10 system’s backbone protocol, and Dante.

Yamaha’s stand also highlighted the EMX2 portable powered mixer, the DXS18 powered subwoofer, SWP1 network switches and HPH-MT7 monitoring headphones.

The EMX2 is a 10 channel powered mixer is designed to be operated by users of all skill levels and features reverb processing, digital feedback suppression and the 1-Knob Master EQ.

Yamaha’s DXS18 subwoofer is powered by a 1020W Class-D amplifier and incorporates an 18-in woofer and 4-in voice coil to deliver 136dB maximum SPL with extended response down to 32Hz. Additional features include DSP technology, low frequency processing, a selectable crossover and Cardioid Mode setting for systems with multiple units.
