Shure supports Montreux Jazz Festival’s 60th edition across 10 stages
Shure technology and technical expertise supported more than 300 concerts and festival activities, utilising 156 channels of Axient digital wireless with more than 2,000 audio components.

Shure supported the 2026 Montreux Jazz Festival where it deployed more than 2,000 components across 10 stages during the festival’s 60th edition. Shure has supported the festival production teams for almost 30 years, helping to manage complex wireless environments, evolving artists’ requirements, and the technical demands of a multi-stage live music event.

156 channels of Axient Digital wireless systems were deployed, alongside 40 channels of Axient Digital PSM advanced in-ear monitoring system, and 756 wired microphones, as well as SM58 KSM11 cardioid condenser vocal capsules and Nexadyne dynamic vocal microphones.

At the festival’s Stavinski stage, Shure ShowLink enabled engineers to remotely monitor all Axient Digital devices and simplify system management across performances. Five Shure ADTQ units were deployed on-site, each configured with eight channels for a total of 40 channels. Engineers operated the ADTQs in both SC narrowband and wideband spatial diversity modes, allowing them to switch between configurations based on each artist’s and production’s requirements.

Across more than 300 concerts and venues, Shure supplied equipment for multiple stages, including supplying John Legend with the Shure Nexadyne 8/S dynamic vocal microphone for vocal clarity.

The Roots used Axient Digital transmitters with SM58 and Nexadyne microphones, while Deep Purple performed with four channels of Axient Digital PSM, four ADTQ bodypacks, AD transmitters, and KSM11 capsules.

Shure’s technical team also supported production crews throughout the festival with microphone selection, wireless frequency coordination, system performance, and day-to-day technical demands across multiple venues.
