Sony announced the introduction of the VPL-FWZ60 (5,000 lumens) and VPL-FWZ65 (6,000 lumens) to its WXGA line of laser projectors at ISE 2016.
It has also announced lamp-based versions of the projectors, the VPL-FW65 (6,300 lumens) and VPL-FW60 (5,200 lumens).
Both laser and lamp models have BrightEra panel technology and are designed for approximately 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, with features including Auto Dimming and Auto Brightness reducing energy costs.
All four models additionally have built-in HDBaseT interfaces, and a wide powered lens shift suited to installation in challenging environments.
Each one can also be combined with a variety of optional lenses, including a short throw and tele-zoom covering up to 4.84:1 throw range.
The VPL-FWZ60 will be released in Europe in March 2016, followed by the VPL-FWZ65 in April. The lamp model VPL-FW60 will be released in May, before the VPL-FW65 is released in June.
