DisplayNote launcher overhauls user experience at Communardo HQ
DisplayNote’s launcher has been used at the headquarters of German-based software specialist, Communardo, improving the user experience for staff with improved privacy and security.

With a heavy focus on collaboration, Communardo staff previously needed to be in a meeting room at least 10 minutes early in order to sign in to the meeting room computer before accessing their own apps and content, slowing the PCs down with hundreds of active profiles on the computer. Settings were also frequently changed on the company’s webcam, microphone and speakers, leading to frequent call outs for IT support.

Searching for a better way of working, Communardo looked for a standardised approach to directly launch meetings and applications without requiring users to log in each time.

Communardo worked alongside Dell to install Samsung displays across its five meeting rooms, with DisplayNote launcher software added to the displays to provide a simpler, streamlined method access calls, apps and calendars.

The software works with the existing Logitech cameras and audio equipment that has already been installed in the room, improving the user experience in these spaces.

Maximillian Heyne, head of internal IT, Communardo, commented: “We were looking for a solution that’s so simple that everyone, even non-technical staff, can use it. And we wanted to roll this out as easily as possible across multiple locations.

“Being able to improve our current setup with only a software update is extremely cost-effective – it has helped us greatly. DisplayNote Launcher is the perfect solution for us as it uses the technology that we already have.
