Shure debuts MV7+ streaming microphone

Shure has launched its hybrid XLR/USB dynamic microphone, the MV7+ podcast microphone, designed for streamers, podcasters, and musicians.

The MV7+ includes voice isolation technology which focuses on the user’s voice and minimises background noises. An onboard DSP engine powers a suite of advanced features such as an improved auto level mode, and adjustable reverb.

The microphone integrates into Shure’s Motiv Mix desktop app, providing the ability to configure all aspects of the MV7+. The software also adds multi-track recording and routing to support users with enhanced control of live streaming and recordings.

A multi-colour LED touch panel is included, offering one-touch muting of the microphone’s LED panel live meter to maintain privacy and control.

The microphone includes a ‘digital popper stopper’ that removes harsh plosive sounds to avoid acoustic distractions and a physical pop filter on camera, alongside an auto level adjustment that adapts the microphone’s gain based on the distance, volume, and room dynamics to provide automatic balanced sound.

Onboard reverb is available, offering plate, hall and studio options to set intensity levels to add depth and richness to recordings.

The MV7+ provides hybrid USB-C and XLR output and connects with laptops or smart phones.
