Marquee AV delivers high-performance audio to London restaurant

Marquee AV has designed and installed a high-quality, flexible audio system, providing the Fenix, Mayfair restaurant with seamless day-to-night capabilities.

With a focus on ambiance and guest experience, a high-quality audio system was imperative. Having partnered with Marquee AV on several successful projects in the past, Permanently Unique Group once again turned to the team to deliver a system that would complement the venue's vision while providing audio performance throughout the space.

Marquee selected L-Acoustics X4is to provide coverage across most of the restaurant. Small and neat, they were positioned within the bar and left side of the restaurant, a further four across the gallery kitchen and central dining area, and ten distributed throughout the right-hand side of the restaurant. Their compact size allowed them to integrate subtly within the interior design while providing even coverage across the space. The result delivers sound quality, whether delivering subtle daytime background music or supporting high-energy evening DJ performances.

SB10i subwoofers were carefully positioned and concealed throughout the venue to reinforce low frequencies and provide greater impact when required. One of the project's key challenges was identifying the optimal locations for the subwoofers while ensuring they remained visually unobtrusive. The design team worked closely with Marquee AV to achieve this balance, incorporating bespoke furniture elements to house the subwoofers discreetly. This collaborative approach ensured the original audio design was maintained without compromising the venue's carefully curated aesthetic.

The system is powered by L-Acoustics LA2Xi CE and LA4X CE amplifiers, providing the performance, flexibility and reliability needed to support the venue's varied operating requirements.
