Samsung debuted two new models of it’s the Wall for the first time in Europe, aimed at virtual production and XR studio applications.
The Wall for Virtual Production, called the IVC, is now available in Europe following its international debut at InfoComm 2023 and consists of two models – The P1.68 and P2.1. Both models include a curvature range that can stretch up to 5,800R with updated genlock features to keep The Wall IVC in line with system signals, preventing dropped or doubled frames.
3D lookup tables (LUTs) are included for colour correction, wide-gamut HDR colour processing and colour adjustment between individual cabinets or modules.
The Wall IVC also includes virtual production management (VPM) software to manage the screen and facilitate high picture quality in a virtual production environment while also using the VPM to detect and resolve LED-related issues.
The display features a 4:9 ratio to suit a variety of installation options, with the ability to be hung or stacked with other screens in different production environments.
A 12,228 Hz refresh rate is also included to minimise flicker lines, with Black Seal Technology+ for high contrast with resilience to dust and particles.
