Russound debuts XTS7 Android powered touchscreen

Russound has announced that it has introduced its XTS7 wall-mounted colour touchscreen, designed to control Russound audio systems using the Russound app.

The touchscreen enables the installation of apps from the Google Play Store to control third party products such as lighting and blinds, which can be achieved without a Russound system installed.

The seven-in display features 1280x800 resolution and can be installed on a wall to enble control of devices and full control of a Russound system, with metadata feedback from compatible sources.

The device features 16GB storage built-in for additional apps, which can be upgraded to 256GB by using a microSD card to add more storage for third-party apps.

The touchscreen fits into a standard single gang UK or European back-box, with support for both wired and wireless connections. A PoE connection enables a single network cable to carry both power and data to and from the touchscreen. If no ethernet cable is available, the XTS7 can be powered by a 12V DV connection and communicate via Wi-Fi.
