NewTek has debuted its latest addition to the TriCaster line, the TriCaster Mini, designed for education, corporate and government applications.
The TriCaster Mini features eight external video inputs to support combinations of compatible sources in resolutions up to 4K UHD and allowing for streaming to social media outlets.
The video production system includes four direct NDI connections with power-over-Ethernet to allow for video, audio, tally, power and control, with two input modules with POE included to allow for connection of existing HDMI devices, upgrading them to NDI-compatible sources.
An NDI|HX camera app is also available for iOS devices via the Apple store, with planned support for Android to be included in a future update.
The app also allows video up to 4K UHD from an iOS device to transmit over Wi-Fi as an NDI source and connect with TriCaster Minis on the network.
