Modulo Pi has released Modulo Kinetic version six, the latest version of its media server platform.
Modulo Kinetic version six includes upgrade to its 3D workflow, with new interactive capabilities, delivering improvements to the engine’s rendering through upgrades to lighting and textures.
Upgrades to the media server’s 3D projection study tools include dynamic projector information, new rendering modes, and display of stacked projectors.
Additionally, client documentation can be prepared via an in-built editor which allows users to organise 3D scene snapshots as well as export books that can be exported as a PDF.
Support of more devices is included, such as the Canon EOS camera, and Twain protocol for scanners.
Improvements to Modulo Kinetic’s nodal composition tools are available, with nodes for 3D physics engines, QR code image extractors, and dynamic media updates.
Modulo Kinetic also allows real-time capture and extraction of a photograph or scanned image, dynamically updating the rendered media in a show.
Users can also use JavaScript within an integrated development environment, using Modulo Kinetic’s code editor to access syntax highlighting during the coding process.
Additionally, version six includes an EDID generator available in the Kinetic Designer interface to help users handle various resolution types, including non-standard resolutions for LED displays.
